Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, and sugar.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and coffee. Stir until just combined.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip together mascarpone cheese and heavy cream until light and fluffy.
  6. Once the brownies have cooled, spread the mascarpone mixture over the top.
  7. Drizzle with coffee liqueur and dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso.
  • These brownies can be served chilled or at room temperature.
