Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake Recipe: A Flavor-packed Twist On Sushi

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pound salmon, skinless and boneless
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon furikake seasoning
  • 1 avocado, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then cook it with 2 cups of water according to package instructions.
  3. In a bowl, mix the salmon, soy sauce, mayonnaise, sriracha, and sesame oil until well combined.
  4. Spread the cooked rice evenly in a baking dish.
  5. Layer the cream cheese on top of the rice.
  6. Spread the salmon mixture over the cream cheese.
  7. Top with green onions, panko breadcrumbs, and furikake seasoning.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven, top with avocado, and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha.
  • Serve with soy sauce for dipping.
