This Raspberry Swirl Brioche Loaf is a delightful mix of sweet and tangy flavors, perfect for a breakfast treat or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup raspberry preserves

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in melted butter and eggs. Gradually add flour and salt to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle. Spread raspberry preserves evenly on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and place it in a greased loaf pan. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

  • This brioche can be made a day in advance for easier serving.
  • For a different flavor, try using strawberry or blueberry preserves instead of raspberry.
