- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- Stir in the flour until just incorporated.
- Transfer half of the batter to a greased loaf pan.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon over the batter.
- Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon on top.
- If desired, add walnuts to the top.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
