  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  6. Stir in the flour until just incorporated.
  7. Transfer half of the batter to a greased loaf pan.
  8. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon over the batter.
  9. Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon on top.
  10. If desired, add walnuts to the top.
  11. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  12. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For an extra moist banana bread, ensure your bananas are very ripe.
  • This recipe can be easily doubled if you want to make more loaves at once.
