Blackened Shrimp Stroganoff is a spicy and rich twist on the classic stroganoff dish that is perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup onions, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with the blackening seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add shrimp, cooking until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from the skillet.
  4. Add mushrooms, onions, and garlic to the same skillet and cook until softened.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce, allowing it to simmer and thicken.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet, mix well, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • This dish is best served fresh but can be enjoyed as leftovers.
  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less blackening seasoning.
