  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add the yogurt, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas, stirring until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the flour and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra moisture, use Greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt.
  • You can substitute chocolate chips with nuts if preferred.
